SuperUmzug — moving company for Munich and the surrounding area

Where we move — Munich and about 50 kilometres around it

Every district has its own problems: resident parking zones, narrow stairwell voids, tram rails in the carriageway, closed courtyards. The pages below set out what applies where.

We work across the whole Munich city area and within roughly 50 kilometres — the Landkreis München and the neighbouring districts of Dachau, Freising, Erding, Ebersberg, Starnberg and Fürstenfeldbruck. What makes a move in Munich difficult is rarely the distance and almost always the address: whether a no-parking zone is needed, whether the wardrobe fits around the stairwell void, and how far from the entrance the vehicle can stand. That is why each place has its own page.

Common questions about the service area

How far from Munich do you travel?

For ordinary moves, roughly 50 kilometres around Munich — that covers the Landkreis München and the neighbouring districts of Dachau, Freising, Erding, Ebersberg, Starnberg and Fürstenfeldbruck. Beyond that we travel as a long-distance move anywhere in Germany and within the EU, then with a per-kilometre rate.

Does moving out of town cost more than moving inside Munich?

Barely. Up to about 50 kilometres the distance has little effect on the price; volume, storey and carrying distance at both addresses still decide it. A move from Schwabing to Dachau is often cheaper than one from Schwabing to Haidhausen, because out of town the vehicle can stand right outside the door.

In which Munich districts do I need a no-parking zone?

Anywhere a resident parking zone applies — which is practically the whole inner city and the densely built Gründerzeit quarters: Altstadt, Lehel, Maxvorstadt, Schwabing, Haidhausen, Au, Neuhausen, Schwanthalerhöhe and parts of Sendling and Giesing. In Trudering, Moosach or out of town it is often unnecessary.

Do you move within the same building?

Yes, and it happens more often than people think — from the fourth floor into the flat that has come free on the first. It is priced by effort rather than distance; the journey drops away, and usually one of the two no-parking zones with it.

Do you offer overseas moves?

No. We do not offer overseas moves by sea container or air freight — that needs a forwarder with its own sea-freight and customs desk. Within the EU we drive ourselves, including to Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Croatia and Italy.

My district is not in the list — do you still come?

The list shows the neighbourhoods that have their own page, not the edge of our service area. We move across the whole city and the whole surrounding ring. Call us and we will go through the specifics of your address.
